basic background

Cho Chang left Hogwarts after Headmaster Dumbledore’s death in 1997. Later that summer she received the opportunity to take the postponed N.E.W.T. examinations. She was then able to find work at an apothecary in her hometown of Glasgow during the last year of the war. When she was alerted by her D.A. Galleon in May 1998, she returned to Hogwarts to fight in the final battle.

After the war’s end, Cho finally felt free to look toward the future and determine a new path for her life. After much consideration, taking into account the unsettling uncertainty of the last few years, she felt compelled to make the most of this fresh start. She chose to further her education and concentrate on her academic strengths. She wanted to challenge herself while focusing on a career that would serve the wizarding world and possibly benefit people's lives in a positive way. After three years of alchemical studies and then the last year abroad working towards her Mastery level, she attained her goal. She is now a Potions Master and working at St. Mungo’s as their Alchemist.

Her last four years were demanding ones as she immersed herself in her studies. Despite working long hours at St. Mungo’s, she still makes time for staying fit and active and enjoying the outdoors. She recently moved to Blackthorn Ridge and wants to reconnect with old friends as well as make new ones as she begins this exciting new stage of her life.
